At East Durham College, we don’t just think about your time with us. Our courses, and everything we do, is designed to help you with making a career for yourself.

Whether you have a clear career path in mind or don’t have the foggiest what you want to do later in life, that’s why careers are at the heart of everything we do at East Durham College.

Careers support starts from before you’ve even signed up to do a course with us, and continues all the way through your time at East Durham College. So whether you’re unsure about what course you want to do before you’ve even signed up, or you’re looking ahead to your career after college ends, we are here to help every step of the way.

East Durham College is accredited to the Matrix Standard Award for information, advice and guidance; so you can be sure that the advice you receive in college is of a high standard.

Careers Support Services at East Durham College

When you think about careers support, what do you think of? You’ll likely have had a brief chat with someone back at school about your future, then be sent off to make a decision about what you want to do based off that.

At East Durham College, those one-to-one chats are just the starting point for your careers guidance. We support all of our course programmes with clear careers guidance; whether its organising valuable work experience, helping you to make the best UCAS statement to get you that uni place you want, polishing up your CV ready for the world of work or even just sitting with you and discussing course options if you think you’ve made the wrong choice, we are here for you.
